Furniture Hire for Christmas Parties

It’s beginning to look a lot like… office Christmas party time! Planning a corporate Christmas party can feel thoroughly overwhelming, especially if you need to cater to a lot of people. But, don’t fear, as we’ve come up with four simple Christmas party planning tips below, in the hope that your festive shindigs can go off without a hitch!

Pick a clear theme

‘But Christmas is the theme!’ you may say, and yes, whilst yards upon yards of paper chains and tinsel may certainly be a look, by keeping to a specific colour scheme and style, your decor will appear more professional and special. Try sticking to three colours, and keeping to a consistent decorative theme through the use of interior accessories, for example, festive foliage and cosy lighting. Smaller furniture hire for Christmas parties such as our Navy Button Pouffes, dotted about in various spots, are another great way of maintaining one clear, congruous decor theme throughout a venue.

Keep the drinks flowing

As well as a great Christmas roast, your party guests will be expecting a good offering of bubbly, cocktails, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Choose a bar that fits in with your decor theme; a wooden bar would work well for a rustic, countryside party, whereas a sleek, modern bar would go best with a more high-end, luxe style event. If you wanted to go all out for your Christmas party, you could ask your bartender to create a custom drink for the night, perhaps one that encapsulates your team or company’s personality? Don’t forget to offer a good range of non-alcoholic soft drinks and virgin cocktails so everyone can have a taste of something special.

Create space for dancing…

An office Christmas party wouldn’t be the same without some highly embarrassing dance moves occurring. Once the food has gone down and the drinks are topped up, it’s time to crank up the volume on your Christmas playlist and make room for dancing. All our bars double up as DJ booths, so if you’re hiring a DJ, you can do so in style too – check out our tips on hiring a DJ here.

… and for chilling

For those who’d rather not have a shimmy, create a cosy seating area with inviting armchairs and sofas. Our Mayfair Sofa in Aubergine Velvet and Sophia Armchair in Red are just a couple of ideal, festive furniture items. Place side tables and coffee tables nearby so guests can plonk their drinks and canapés down and chat the night away.
