In the midst of the festive season, it’s about time to reflect on all the wonderful places we’ve provided furniture hire for events over the past year. Take a seat, ladies and gentleman. Perhaps on our wonderfully luxurious Sophia Armchair…
One of our favourite events commenced in March when Pearl & Pear partnered with The Banqueting House in Whitehall for inspirational ‘Palace Pearls of Wisdom’ event. Attendees were professionals in the events industry, enjoying inspiring talks, workshops and networking. Florist Philippa Craddock garnished the staircase with beautiful plants and golden trees, and guests indulged on a divine tropical lunch. Our beautiful chairs resembled rubies, emeralds, and sapphires fit to adorn royalty in the grand hall setting. Flecks of sophistication and professionalism were exemplified with our Dexter Sofas, beautifully interweaving the modern with the classical.
In April, we saw our flawlessly sophisticated Dexter and Wingback chairs adding a touch of professional excellence at the Science Museum event with Marble London. Here, they were paired with our sleek Black Oak Coffee Table. Such a prestigious event demands impressive furnishings, and we certainly delivered.
We loved the Lazy Oaf pop up in collaboration with Time for Change for Mental Health Awareness Week. The two combined to produce a clothing collection designed to destigmatize mental health discussion. Our Sophia Armchair and Electric Blue Dinky Sofa were completely on brand with Lazy Oaf’s infamous colourful, bold style.
Klarna hosted a pop up in London and asked us to help deliver an Instagrammable, enchanting space. Our Dinky Armchair in the perfectly titled ‘Millennial Pink’ sat beautifully in the midst of the floral pink space, immersing customers in their glorious pink branding.
We were honoured to supply a plethora of pieces for the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Party in collaboration with Event Concept. This event is often acclaimed as ‘the highlight of London’s social calendar’ and almost the entirety of our seating line furnished the prestigious rooms of Burlington Hall. Our Dinky Armchairs blended beautifully in varying hues to complement the regal, plush character of the building. Dramatic excellence was achieved with our Gatsby Sofa, and our Copper Maze Table, Birdcage Coffee Table, Tangle Table and Corrugated Side Table resembled pieces of art in their own right, facilitating chatter amongst guests about the wonderful art show.
Another high point in the year was the Google Spa Day at the Montague Hotel in November, organised by The Edit Events. Our incredibly popular Dinky Armchairs were repurposed as massage chairs in wonderful powdery Millennial Pink. The vibe was dreamy, creating a relaxing, retro escape.
The year’s best moments culminated with our Sophia Armchair adorning the stage of the BAFTAs, providing a comfortable, stylish seat to facilitate the genius conversation of the only and only, Quentin Tarantino. If Tarantino isn’t the greatest way to round up a brilliant year, I don’t know what is.
